Review
This shoe has a great fit (may appeal to people with slightly wider
feet, like me) and the style is perfect for low key days hanging out at the
brewery or running errands. I don't think I would buy these for any serious
athletics as the upper does tend to stretch and I think it wouldn't really keep
your feet stable for something like tennis or basketball. Likewise I don't
think the foam would hold up to a lot of miles running. It is really just a
comfortable fashion shoe with an athletic look.
Shoe came as advertised and fit was exactly what I expected. the second time I wore them I was on my feet taking a walking tour in a city for nearly four hours without the normal knee pain I get from other, less cushioned, shoes. No blisters, though the heel piece sits higher on my achilles tendon than I'm used to. There is a nice thick cushion to keep the back of the shoe from rubbing. I think you could wear these shoes just about as comfortably without tying them, and I found that I generally didn't feel comfortable trying to lace them tight anyway. I'd say the laces are only quasi-functional, hence the "I wouldn't use them for sports" comment. I found that if I tightened the laces too much it didn't brace my foot to the shoe so much as it just cut into the top of my fo
